Dr. Leena Srivastava
Dr. Leena Srivastava is the Deputy Director General for Science at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). She assumed the position in 2019.
Leena Srivastava obtained a PhD in Energy Economics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore.
She researched for over three decades in the areas of energy, environment, and climate change policies at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), including nine years as the Executive Director. Srivastava was also the vice chancellor of the TERI School of Advanced Studies in New Delhi from 2012 to 2019.
Srivastava is a member of the President’s Advisory Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the Asian Development Bank. She was a member of the Technical Working Group 3: Enabling SDGs through Inclusive, Just Energy Transitions, High Level Energy Dialogue 2021, by the United Nations.
