Svenja Schulze

Svenja Schulze is the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany. She assumed the position in 2018.

She holds a Master’s degree in German Studies and Political Sciences from the University of Bochum in Germany.

Prior to becoming the Federal Minister, she was the General Secretary of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in North Rhine-Westphalia. From 2010 to 2017 Schulze was the Minister for Innovation, Science and Research of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
