Lilian Busse

Dr. Lilian Busse

In 2021, Dr. Lilian Busse became the Vice President of the German Environment Agency (UBA).

She obtained a PhD in Environmental Engineering at the Technical University Berlin and completed her Master’s degree in Biology from the Technical University Munich.

Prior to becoming the Vice President, Dr. Busse was Head of the Division II “Environmental Health and the Protection of Ecosystems” at UBA from 2015 – 2020.

From 2006 to 2015 Dr. Busse was Scientist and Lead of Water Programs at the California State Water Resources Control Board of the California Environmental Protection Agency and worked several years as an Environmental consultant in the U.S.
